Giraffa camelopardalis tippelskirchi
Statut de Conservation (Liste Rouge de l'UICN):
En danger (EN)
It doesn’t hurry. It doesn’t need to. Masai giraffes move with slow rhythm — towering over the savanna, feeding on leaves other animals can’t reach. Their spots are jagged, like torn paint — different from any other giraffe.
They see far, hear well, and stay alert, even while chewing. A kick from a giraffe can kill a lion, but most of the time, they rely on height and distance to stay safe.
They travel in loose groups, always watching, always listening. Calm on the surface, but never unaware. Where they walk, everything else feels small.
