Paradoxurus hermaphroditus
Statut de Conservation (Liste Rouge de l'UICN):
Préoccupation mineure (LC)
Big eyes, sharp claws, and a habit of staying out of sight.
This small carnivore moves through trees and rooftops with ease, feeding on fruit, insects, and the occasional small animal. It’s active at night — sniffing, climbing, slipping between branches or buildings.
Palm civets are solitary and quiet, often heard before they’re seen. In forests, gardens, or even city fringes, they adapt well — as long as they’re left alone. They’re part of the wild that survives beside us: secretive, flexible, and always watching from the dark.
